This week I met sweet as pie 10 day old Sophia! How adorable is she? I just love her! We took some outdoor images of this sweetie just like we did with her brother two years ago. : )

It was so great to meet baby Ian for his newborn portraits! I just loved meeting this little guy. Momma took pictures for me of Lily when she was only five days old, it was so fun to get an email from her when she was pregnant with little Ian. : )
His Mom is a designer and would you just look at that fun nursery??? I absolutely LOVE it!!!

I will be taking part in a ten on ten blog every month. Last month I photographed and never blogged because I got swamped, however this time I decided to use an event only and not ten hours straight in one day like I tried last month! The idea behind these blogs is to document life as is, unscripted, lifestyle images as our day unfolds…. and not just on instagram. ;)

I shot and processed this imaged slightly different than normal. I wanted Lily a tad darker with the light coming from behind. There’s lots of grit and grain in this image, but I would have it no other way. I just love it, her pose, her seriousness, the fact that little sis is hiding in the blinds behind her. <3 Don’t be afraid to try or post new things. This image to me showcases the little performance artist that she is turning out to be.

Oh how much fun I had with these two siblings!!!! They did an awesome job. When I started talking to Mom about this session, you can bet my vision was those drums in a field……… more to come soon! Come see me with your tweens too, loving it!

I have been a volunteer with OpLove for almost three years now. I do it because I support our military families and am always honored to do these special sessions.
After the session is done we send an album of images over to the deployed family member to enjoy as a bit of a surprise!
This particular album arrived on Memorial Day which was very fitting! What timing!
We appreciate this family and all military families for ensuring our freedoms and by helping others who may not have those freedoms yet.
